2KFILMS was founded by 2K Thomas in 2008 when he made a documentary film for his senior high school project about how Hurricane Katrina affected his family and community. It was this project that helped 2K discover his love for film and he has never looked back. Despite the ups and downs of being an entrepreneur and an Artist, 2K Thomas has stood firm in his faith that he can truly save lives through art.

It is this drive to make a difference in the lives of the people he gets to work with and the communities he serves that fuels his passion and drive for success. “It’s really about the people I get to serve…Art and my work is not just a gift, but a tool and it’s a blessing that I get to share it with others. I can’t take credit for my talent, and I have a duty to give it back to those Yah brings to me.”

2KFILMS remains a small independent family owned film company today, led by 2K Thomas. The company’s main focus is feature
films, but still operates with the motto that “no job is too small.” We are still blessed
to serve those who need anything from a fall family photo shoot, to senior photos, or a wedding video. We keep our pricing as low and competitive as possible.

2KFILMS is not just a company, but a family. We are a community of like minded individuals who share in the goal to help save and transform lives through art. We truly take our work serious, it’s not just a job, it’s not just a client, every connection we make with someone is an opportunity to help make a positive impact on someone’s life. Our goal is to one day open non-profit arts schools to serve children in under privileged communities where often music and arts programs are removed from schools completely. A place where kids can learn, grow and express themselves through art. Every project we are hired on puts us one step closer to making this dream a reality.
